2021 Canadian Law Award for Commercial Litigation Team of the Year

White Raven Law Corporation is recognized by the 2021 Canadian Law Awards for its involvement in Attorney General of British Columbia v. Attorney General of Canada in January 2020. The Supreme Court heard arguments from several parties, ranging from Indigenous Nations to private corporations, on British Columbia’s authority to regulate certain environmental aspects of the Trans Mountain Pipeline. Terri-Lynn Williams-Davidson spoke on behalf of the Haida Nation, arguing that the court must not impinge upon the Indigenous role in cooperative federalism. Ultimately, the court unanimously dismissed the appeal. For more information on the award, click here. To read a summary of the case, click here.
